| Dion's "New
Day" On Hold Until After
Christmas
Celine Dion has
announced the cancellation of the next five
performances of her A New Day show at
Caesers, as well as an appearance at the
Billboard Music Awards. Her rep says that
the singer is being treated for a bronchial
infection that is highly contagious.
"Her
doctor has prescribed medication to treat the
infection and has given Celine strict orders to
stay home and rest in order to recover as soon
as possible," a post on Dion's website
says.
The French-Canadian singer's
cancellation comes right before her scheduled
vacation, so the show is now on hiatus until
December 28. Dion's camp says that
disappointed fans who have tickets for the
upcoming week can either get refunds or book a
new date.

| Britney Makes
Vegas Her Second Home
After party
hopping in Las Vegas last week, we’ve just
learned Britney Spears has signed on to
host the upcoming New Year’s Eve party at Pure
nightclub, with tickets at $200.
The
newly single pop princess was also slated to
co-host the Billboard Music Awards with Paris
Hilton on December 4, but reports are
circulating that Spears has pulled out. Hilton
could still host the award show, which airs live
from Las Vegas at 8 p.m. Monday night on Fox.
Hilton and Spears left tongues wagging
and paparazzi scrambling earlier this month when
they hit Tryst, Light, Tao, and the new Playboy
Club before spending the night in a $25,000
Fantasy Suite at The Palms.

Gets Blue For 'Scrubs'
The season
six premiere of Scrubs - airing November
30 on NBC - includes a special appearance by The
Blue Man Group, taped in Las Vegas
nearly two months ago. “We went out with them
when they weren’t in their blueness, which was
weird to see,” star Zach Braff remembers.
And did they speak? “No they just mime. When
they are hammered, that’s pretty funny.” (We’re
pretty sure he’s kidding.)
In the episode
– titled “My Mirror Image” – JD ends up in Vegas
after a night of drinking and contemplating the
fact that his girlfriend is pregnant. He finds
himself about to marry another man at a little
chapel and runs for it. When he opens a door to
hide he ends up center stage at the Blue Man
Group. The show must go on and so he gets
covered in blue paint and pink sparkles! “I’m
not ashamed to tell you that literally three
weeks later I had Q-tips with blue on them when
they came out of my ears,” he says. “Those guys
must pee blue.”

 Paradise City will premiere in
2007.
| E! Announces
Vegas Reality Show
Forget
Laguna Beach, the next generation of
reality soap stars are living and loving in Las
Vegas.
Laguna producers Go Go
Luckey Productions teamed with Ryan Seacrest
Productions and E! television for Paradise
City, a weekly half hour series following
the real life drama of aspiring stars in Sin
City. Shot on location, the show will reveal the
city’s casinos, nightclubs, restaurants and
private homes of the 20-somethings trying to
make it in Hollywood East when it premieres in
2007.
“We are focusing on the people who
have moved there to take their shot at stardom,”
says Julie Auerbach, executive producer at Go Go
Luckey. “Vegas has really become the new mecca
for entertainers from all areas … We’ll take you
inside the lives of people who are working hard
to achieve their dreams in a city that holds
many temptations to stray from their goals.”
